Flush or poke

I have a new set of rims that are 8.5F and 9.5R both with ET 35. Tires 235/40/18 and 265/35/18
The front is perfect with the camber I have. Can't remember what it is.
The rears require a 2 degree negative camber that brings the sidewall of the tire flush with the bodywork. I have adjustable arms so I am setting the rears myself.
What is your guys opinion on flush or poke?
What is poke to you ? Poke of the tire or of the rim lip.

I would like to run a lttle less camber, it looks too ricer for my liking atm.
BTW lowered on Eibach and Koni yellows.

When I think of poke I think more of stretch and poke i.e. an undersized tire on a rim causing the rim to poke past the sidewall of the tire. You're talking about offset as far as how much does the wheel/tire stick out past the wheel arch correct?

That all comes down to personal preference. I'm a function over form guy. As flush as you can get without any rub would my spin on things. The reason for adjusting camber is to change performance/handling, not to force a wheel that doesn't fit properly. But like I said, personal preference. Cars are like music, I may not like everything but I can appreciate it all just the same.....

I like both myself...I have a set of wheels for each look...ironically my "stretched" tires are actually a wider tire size

poke to me is the tire and/or rim sticking out of the guard of the car.

will get you defected pretty darn quick where i live in sydney.. here in dxb, they don't care, neither where i lived in the states in arizona.. to me though, its a danger to pedestrians, dogs, cats & little kids

what's defected mean? like ticketed? i don't see it being a big deal as long as the side mirrors stick out more than the tires/wheels do.

also damn, you've lived in a lot of places. i saw in another thread you have a house in europe too?

-2 deg isn't that bad for rear camber. I want to say stock sport suspension specs were -2.5 deg, which I brought in to -1.5 deg.

Decided to raise the rear a bit with some 15mm upper spring mounts and dialed back the camber to 1.5.

Bulge of tire is sticking out 1/4" past the fender lip.
