why does everyone (nearly) go for CSL's?
Weird, i've never seen one type of car modded to pretty much the same extent with regards to wheels. Seems like EVERYone goes for the same rims, CSL/look alikes. ok, not everyone, but you gotta admit, its uncanny.. ;D
any reason why you LOVE it? (or just doing it because old mate next door did it? ) that said, i do like the APex wheels myself.

The mesh wheel is a classic BMW design that everybody can thank BBS for making popular on BMWs.

I believe the reason certain wheel wheels look right on certain cars has to do with the visual mass of the car. Light looking cars like Miatas look good on lighter, more open 5 spoke wheels. But heavier looking cars look out of place on light looking wheels. To me, the stock MC wheel is too light/open, and not aggressive enough. The CSL strikes the perfect balance of mass & aggressiveness, and has a functional down to business look - this car if for serious driving, not showboating.

I agree with how the look of the CSL are great on the Z4 E85/86. But I think apex ARC8 are not exactly CSLs as the VMR VB3 but both look just awesome in the Z4. But I really staring to like more the new PS7 from Apex that are not CSL replicas more of VMR710 replicas but lighter and still consider a mesh wheel hopefully.

I agree. Too many CSL styled wheels around. What can you say? They just look good. But, if you look on the road, there aren't may CSL style wheels on Z4s. On enthusiast websites, we may see a lot of CSL wheels on Z4s, but from what I've seen in my area, Z4s are driven pretty much stock.
I still haven't done my wheel upgrade yet. I'm still pretty happy with my 108s. I've seen 2 sets of wheels that I really like but are a bit too pricey for me.

.CSLs :: M-Parallels
E85/86 :: . E31 The CSLs are to the E85/86 Z4s, as the Style 37 M-Parallels are to the classic E31 850/840s. While not originally designed for fitment to the E31s, they have become the "go to" +2 upgrade with the 18" staggered setup found on the later 850CSi 'flavor' of this car. The refined looks of the Style 37s on this silky autobahn cruiser fit it just as well as the aggressively wicked looks of the CSLs fit the nastier Z4. And, yes, the M-Pars are also so darn pretty on the 8s!!

Thanks for the comments, greatly appreciated! The wheels are VMR V710, 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5.

Why does everyone go for CSLs? Because they look good!
More like CSL inspired, but same concept.

These came on my car and I can't remember what they are, but they look similar to the CSL... and I don't think I'm going to change them.... which has NEVER happened in ANY of the cars I've ever owned. In fact, I usually go through a few sets of rims before I find the right match. lol
