This. I'm glad that where I live they are considered "plentiful" compared to other states. Made things a lot easier.

For me I created a circle that I was willing to travel and looked in this area. Made it far easier to find the one I wanted but even then it took some patience. I was also willing to spend more for a local one (4-5 hour drive) because of the added time, hassle and costs of long travel.

Meh - they can be had for $5k-$10k less than that for cars in the 30k-40k mile range...

I have considered the option of a car out of state, and shipping to NY would be acceptable, but just hate to buy a car I can't even see first. Depending on how many hours/days away you are, I wouldn't mind picking it up.
I am hoping to find a car in the 25-27k dollar range. Decent miles below 60 . |

I bought my current 335 sight unseen from the Miami area. I was a bit nervous at first but I knew I could still walk away if the car wasn't as advertised. I did several auto checks (carfax, etc) and had the guy send me several videos using his I-pad.

Send Endless619 a PM for a personal Reference. Chris and I are friends and I bought a car off him a couple years back. For local people to check the car out I can send you references on both M3forum and E46fanatics since I am not as active on here Chris (Endless619 with over 3k post) is the only person I know on zpost and he is no longer local but he can vouch for me.

I have a set of OEM Z4 M wheels in excellent condition that I'll sell for $800. Buyer pays shipping. If interested I can send photos.

Hey Fellow M Coupe owners. I've been stalking the board for about 5 years now but finally got around to registering. Going to offer up my beloved M soon but I see I have to make some posts before I can start a new thread about my car's specifics. Anyway, just wanted to confirm that you'll spend many evenings looking nationwide for an M Coupe like I did and then when the right one comes along you could find yourself making an all night drive to Asheville, NC like I did to make sure nobody else got their grubby hands on my dream car!

As everyone is saying, if you really want one and have preferences as far as color, then traveling will almost certainly be a must. You can even ask people on here to check it out for u. I am in San Diego and bought one in Jersey. Do I win the distance competition?
