Fuel Consumption Worse After Service 1 & 2

Not sure why, but my Z4MR fuel consumption is worse post service 1 & 2 (done at the same time) than what it was pre-service. Went from an average of 21.7mpg to 18.1mpg and doesn't appear to be improving.

Has anyone else experienced this? Car has 83000kms (51500 miles) on it.

What make/model spark plugs did they use?

They did not change out the plugs. Rod bearings, Vanos upgrade, and valve adjustment all completed plus oil change.
