I was standing by while you were talking to a few other folks there but didn't get to say hi. Next time... (I had the Audi that day; will bring up the roadster one day). And yeah, burnouts like that will only give 5-0 reason to shut these things down, ruining it for the rest of us.

+1 on track use and the stickers were definitely spotted - totally agree. On the street though, I truly love the clean stock lines of the coupe. You have a beauty just the same.
I saw a b5?s4, s5 sedan and a late model tt. which was you?

I should pick your brain for front splitter and rear wing.

Anyways I think my next move would be new springs...

Would be nice to track with you again. But 16.5 hours each way is a killer

it's not everyone's cup of tea. i'll agree with the latter, it is functional. it puts a lot of undue stress on the rear hatch because that's where it's mounted. this car is slowly getting driven less and less on the street, and if that were only track driven i may have gone with a chassis mounted one like the goke - but that doesn't look civil at all.

we have to be careful with adding rear aero. i tracked at summit point a couple weeks back and the wing worked against me because my front splitter had not come in yet. braking suffered slightly and high speed turn in induced some under steer that i wasn't used to. i expected these things, but took these factors into consideration during my sessions and went about 8/10's.

also pictures from the track day will show my car on the straights in a full rear squat and lift in the front. not ideal. i'll report my experience april 15-16 at VIR with the front splitter installed as well for those who are curious.

cheers.
Cool to see another highly modified Z4 coupe in the area! We're building a Z4 3.0si coupe for a full-blown race car in West Chester, PA. We're going to run a full M-coupe suspension with KW Competition 2-way coil-overs. It'll have a Diffsonline LSD and possibly PFC 4-piston front brakes, 23mm brake pads will enable us to run one set of brake pads for the 12 hour Devil In The Dark at NJMP the end of April.

not sure if you were referring to mine or the other ones posted in here. thanks either way.

so update since i finally got to run full aero at VIR. seems as good a place as any to post...don't feel like starting a new thread.

i'm carrying about 5mph more in the uphill esses. i'm a touch under 120 through uphill which is fast in my book...at least for street tires and oem suspension. i'm on supersports.

i gave 2 point by's in 2 days. both of which were in my last session when they bumped me to advanced group. it was getting a little dangerous for me to remain in intermediate for the pace i was carrying. point by's were to a husband and wife (997 GT2 and 997 turbo). baller duo, no?

i'm going to post my sessions in here as well, and i would ask that the track gurus please point out areas where i can improve. thanks!

I love the RGR's...nice and extremely lightweight for a 19" wheel. Plus, they're my favorite wheel design. I'm looking for a lightweight 18" track wheel that I can throw r comps on...and I think arc-8's fit the bill. There's always the option of getting 18" RGR's as well, but I'm not baller lol. I wanted to hold off on r comps until I knew I was ready. After my last weekend at ViR, I do feel like I am exceeding the capabilities of my tires. I also feel like my brakes (OEM + dtc-60) are slightly exceeding the capabilities of the tires. Only slightly, though. Our brakes are quite an impressive anomaly for being only single pot.

Asked you about the DTC 60s plus sticky ish street tires on Tony's thread. See that we are on the same page regarding those pads.
