How durable is it? Especially for wears on the steering wheel spokes.

Only thing left silver/grey are the seat belt "loops" on the seat(non M) and the faceplate holding the tire pressure and DSC buttons on the console(too lazy to take the console out again)
Total cost to: Sand all parts Prime all parts with base color PPG Water transfer carbon fibre pattern of your choice Clear coat finish part PPG Wet sand and polish Cost $25 for each "small part" $50 for each "large part" Approx 2 weeks to process.

Looking forward to seeing it all installed! Was it done at liquid carbon?
Definately going to look into doing this. Thanks for sharing and keep us updated on durability |

Wow, hydro dipping carbon onto smaller pieces is pretty convincing, especially with a clear over it. Nice work! Glad I checked this thread out.

Eh, I'm mainly impressed how nice this looks. I've seen hydro-dipped parts before (usually corny graphics like leaves or dollar bills) but seeing the carbon pattern with clear on it opened my eyes up a bit, it's pretty impressive.
On the other hand, if someone were to ask if I would do this to all these parts, the answer would probably be no. Looking forward to the installed pics OP

I think this kind of process is very cool.
But my opinion is that this was way too much. Im a "fake carbon" hater so not my cup of tea. But if YOU like it, then thats what counts

I've seen hydro-dipped parts online before and they always looked cheesy.
I think these look fantastic. The price is very reasonable, too. Can you post or DM the info for the place where you had it done? Thanks, Dan. |
