Help with chirping/squealing from front end
Hey guys so lately have have been baffled by this random chirping from what sounds like somewhere around the drive belts.
It only squeaks when the car is warmed ie. i drive the car and let it set for a while when i restart the chirp starts but only last a few seconds and comes and goes but more when at slight acceleration and low speeds but the chirp remains constant, it doesnt do it all the time but when it does its because the car is warm. I keep trying to get a video of the sound but of course i cant produce it when i have my camera available. has anyone else had similar problems? I have already changed both belts, the water pump and the water pump pulley i changed the water pump because when i was changing the belts i had a screwdriver going through the tensioner holes and the the handle of the screwdriver was against the water pump pulley and i was rotating all the pulleys i could produce the sound i was hearing by rotating the water pump pulley while the screwdriver was putting pressure on it. I thought the problem was fixed but again today once i started my car to leave from work the chirp reappeared!!!!! please please help |

Then again, had you replaced the pulley the water pump would have gone three days later.
Think of it as preventative maintenance. Maybe that way it's less painful? |
