Active Autowerke Tune

Has anyone tried using the Active Autowerke BMW Hand Held Programmer? Was the tune effective on the Z4M? Was it difficult or fairly easy?

I'm sure it's like any other handheld? Takes some time to flash new software into the ECU via the OBD2 port, but is otherwise plug & play. I believe AA provides the highest gains out of all the mail-order NA tunes.

I just extracted my AA tune in preparation for VF software to be flashed in. Too bad I can't sell my AA tune to anyone since the software is most likely VIN-locked and car-specific. Since I'm going to be installing my supercharger this week, I'll have to part with the AA tune that has treated me so well

I ordered the software and Simon today and will report back with subjective feedback in the next couple of weeks (doing the Glen on May 18-19 and Pocono Long on May 24). Objective dyno data will be later in the year.

Try to do a before-and-after dyno comparison. A lot of folks don't get around to doing two dynos, and forum peeps don't have enough info to go off of.

I have before dyno's on Dynojets and will overlay those with SAE correction applied. Over the years I have found dynojets (more so if you go to the same place) to be very consistent and repeatable and their software allows for easy overlay.
