Inspection 2 - any good indy shops

Just like the title says - I am running up on 40K miles and my little girl is telling me that in 675 miles she needs an inspection....

I believe this is Inspection 2 and that this means I also need a valve adjustment.

Anyone know of a good indy shop that is reasonable for this service? Also - from your experience, what should this cost?

What part of town are you in? You can check the BMWCCA LA website to see which shops support them - they all generally get good feedback from the members. Avus in Glendale, Bimmersclinic and Bavarian Workshop in the Valley all do well; not so sure about shops over the hill, but maybe some of the OC guys will chime in on who they use down there.

In Pasadena - Glendale pretty close so I will check out Avus. Thanks.

If you're in the SF valley, check out Barthel Motor Worke on Devonshire near Canoga. Bruce is a 20-year master BMW tech and a darn good M5 driver. His rates are decent too.
He's booking appts about a week in advance these days.

Bullet in Costa Mesa is great, Coast Motor Werk (CMW) has shops in Irvine and Huntington Beach, also good.
