Okay I am looking for some assistance on wheels
I am looking for some 18" wheels for my '07 BMW Z4MC I would like 8.5-9" fronts with 1-2" lip & 9-10" rears with 2-3" lip The wife says no Black wheels so I am looking for sliver or chrome Wheels Any one with some help would be appreciated. Yeah chrome usually detracts from the lines of this car. Maybe look into black chrome or hyperblack? Hyperblack will give a good chrome like appearance in the right light but mostly looks like a cool gunmetal finish. Or if you are set on being shiny, look into a polished finish instead of chrome.
As far as deep lips on wheels, that fad has passed and now the newest fad (that i'm sure will pass soon just like all other fads) is concavity...so it's going to be hard to find new wheel designs that have deep lips. Your best bet would be to try custom wheels like HRE, 360 forged, or ADV.1, where you can choose the design in terms of lip, finish, etc. and usually used HRE's can be had for a good price and have deeper lips since most people back in the day bought them for that reason, but now are switching up to more concave styles. Or some replica companies like Linea Corse has a few designs with deeper lips on them. As far as exact designs that would look good on a Z4M that fit your criteria...I'd say HRE C97 or DPE SL 5. I think there might be a Volk or two out there that have lips, I just don't remember their names off the top of my head. |
