Two minor PITA probs with 2005 Z4...

1. After rain, while top still has water on it, opening the window allows water to run into the cabin. I know, don't open the window...LOL.

2. And perhaps a potentially serious problem is that when entering the car, if your driver side window is open, and you can't open the door fully(like another car is parked close to you)...which may cause you bend your body forward while getting in, there is the possibility of catching your eye and/or part of your head, on the pointed tip of the window's black forward guide. Sort of hard to explain, but I'm sure you'll know what I mean.

Otherwise, this is a great car and I love looking at it and driving it.

for #2... why park close to another car? My car has no forward guide so I don't know what you are talking about

For #1, the same happens to me when I use the windsheild wipers when my window is open... gotta remember to close the window before cleaning my windsheild

x2 why park close to another car??? Unless you like dings on your door?

As for the forward guide, yeah that thing could take out an eye if one is not cautious.

Hawkeye I believe he his refering to this (The triangular portion to which the side mirror is attached):

Correcto, Doc.
As for parking too close to another car, believe me that I don't. But, in my small garage, I park to the right of my wife's car, and can't open my door all the way.

ahh but it's the sheep in other cars that park too close. I park in the far corner of our work lot and invariably have some beater econobox parked right next to me. I don't bend real well getting in sometimes, so if it isn't raining, the top goes down before i even get in. Gives me more room to enter and removes the opportunity to put out my eye with the corner of the window, or close my head in the door (only once, and i was quite intoxicated).

I see.. I guess I just haven't noticed before. Most places around here have parallel parking so it is not much of an issue for me.
