SS Race Exhaust Install Suggestions ? Z4 2007

Hi All,
The Turner folks say I will get delivery of my new SS exhaust this week. Do you good folks have any counsel on the install of this item on a 2007 Z4 Coupe? It is a cat back switch from stock. I know not to expect any major HP or tourqe increases. Just looking for that good sports car sound! A buddie has a lift so it should be a clean mod. Any suggestions? Tom

It's a straight forward replacement of the OE mufflers.

They do mount with adapters which give you the opportunity to set the length of the tip extensions.

This is for a Z4M, correct? I noticed OP has a 3.0si. On the M54 Z4's, the exhaust after the headers is all one piece, and most aftermarket mufflers are cut and clamp. I'm not sure about N52 cars.

Side note - On the non-M, the SS isn't really "cat-back" in the sense that the only cats are in the headers on the M54-equipped cars. N52 cars may have a set of secondary cats in the s-pipe.

As for sound, I've been very impressed with my SS setup.

thanks for the feed back gentlemen! The car is not a M it is the reg 3.0 Z4 2007 coupe The parts arrive Tuesday and will use your notes for the install. Have a buddy with a garage lift to make it easier. Thanks Tom

I installed a full Scorpion system on my SI, it was was a pretty easy install with the car on 4 jack stands.
