ahh i see, forgot it was a coupe. was thinking you had a roadie. i guess i wasnt thinking about the m roadster usually being a little cheaper than the coupe. cause of rarity i guess?

Yeah it is cheaper, which is why I'd "downgrade" for one. I should be able to get a little bit of cash to help out while still maintaining the M performance. Honestly, it's a great tradeoff I think. I was really happy driving the 135 convertible loaner I had, and I think that sparked all of this. I really thought hard about what makes me happy in a vehicle, and while it used to be straight-up performance that has changed a bit now that I live in LA and have such a terrible commute.

Even if I move closer to work, having a car like the M Coupe really isn't that much fun unless I can afford to take it out for some nice canyon runs on the weekends. Lately I haven't even wanted to do that due to 1. I drive so much in stop and go every day I don't even feel like driving on the weekend 2. I can't justify spending the $$ on at that gas, and 3. I'm literally terrified of police officers around here after the first experience of being handcuffed and yelled at and the second experience of being put in the back of the cop car and yelled at. HONESTLY, I'm not a bad driver, I don't drive that crazy, but the cops here see a short little girl and decide they want to scare the shit out of her. Well it works I guess. Anyways /rant

Short version: Two guys in a Porsche to my right were revving at me at a light, I rev back and then they take off and I just accelerate to speed limit + maybe 5-10mph. Then they just sit next to me and so I slow down, they slow down, I speed up etc. and they're trying to hit on me. Finally I get fed up and blow by them and as soon as I get back in the right lane I see the motorcycle cop lights behind me. I was probably going maybe 15mph over at the most when I was accelerating but they claimed I was "street racing" with the Porsche. You can probably figure out the rest.

and the back of the cop car was separate incident. I was allegedly going 66 in a 35. They don't have it on radar though, just estimated. I know I wasn't going 66. It's a 35 that is 3 lanes each way that everyone does about 50 on.

Just to help make the decision harder...you might also be sure you aren't going to want one like it again. Sepang will be hard enough to find a second time, not to mention just a nice, clean, low-mileage Z4MC. If you have the slightest hint that you could see yourself wanting one in 5 years, think twice about selling now. The number hitting the market are going to continue to decrease - less and less coming off lease, a lot of these cars are by now ending up in the hands of people that intend to keep them for a while. Be smarter than the cops and don't worry about them. Food for thought....

That being said, I will hold out for the right buyer at the right price and if they come along then I will likely replace my beloved Bronze Coupe with an older 3.0 vert in order to save some money.

About the car: I purchased my M in November 2010 in Illinois and drove it back to LA. I am the third owner. The car drives great and the only maintenance I've come across so far were replacing the rear sway bar mount and the crankcase ventilation valve. The warranty is good until Aug/Sep 2011 or 50k miles. As far as exterior condition, the car is perfect. On the interior, the seats have slight wear but really nothing more than would be expected for being a few years old.

As for bragging rights...this car is 1 of only 68 M Coupes that were made in North America in Sepang Bronze and 1 of 3 that were optioned exactly like mine.

The car comes with everything except for the BBS LM-Rs but they can be negotiated in for extra $$$. Attached are some photos as well as the clean carfax. It doesn't show my purchase still, which makes sense I guess since I still haven't gotten my plates from the DMV yet.

LOL I'm selling the wheels, interested in a swap? I could hook you up bc you're local and they'd look badass on your car.

True, it will be tough and that's why i'm considering replacing it with a z4m roadster instead because I think I'll be just as happy or happier in that.

Sure! I will take some and send them over today. I'd feel great knowing my baby was relaxing in Napa Valley and not enduring anymore of this LA traffic. In fact, maybe I should just move up there...LOL I wish.

Do it! Once you feel what top down driving is like, you can't go back to being caged

I contacted them a while ago and they said it's been sold for months. I let them know that it's still listed on their website, as well as autotrader and a few other places, but obviously they still haven't taken it down.

I was considering getting this one and doing a top replacement. Still the search continues, and now I have competition!
