Door speakers not working?
Hi Guys,
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. It is a non-DSP system. I replaced the head unit (Business CD). I then replaced the Amp with an amp from an X3. I was told it's the "the same as the Z". This fixed a bunch of problems and got the Kick Panel speakers working. The subs and mids behind the seat and the tweeters also started to work. The problem is no sound from the door mid-ranges. I replaced both speakers and still nothing. thoughts? Nuzguy |

I think this is the correct diagram for the E85.
If not, have a fish around in the WDS. See if you can trace from the speakers to the amp and see if the amp has any output pins for them. The WDS has schematics for the X3, as well. Compare and contrast. There are several different models, and I don't know which you have. E85 10 speaker HiFi.pdf

I have been doing some research and it appears the X3 Amp is very close to the Z4 but the pin out configuration is different. I have ordered a stock Z4 amp and will see if that works.
