Do I Have Digital or Analog DSP??
Hi all,
I haven't picked up my M Roadster yet so can't inspect the amplifier to determine which of the DSP options it has. I can tell you that the car has a production date of 2006-06-22 and it has the Nav system. I know it has DSP as it shows up as an option on the Nav screen. Can anyone tell me based on the production date which it might have? I am going to order the Dice Duo from ipodcarpros.com (I had one of these in my last Z4...I know of its pros and cons so no need to tell me to buy something different) and need to know if I need the DSP unit or not. Thanks |

As far as I have seen no Z4 has a Digital dsp.
The amps have a digital input, but it is not activated (and no lead goes to that input). I think the digital dsp's are pre z4, so probably 3 and 5 series (maybe an early 2003 z4). But I have a 04 z4, so maybe a z4m owner can give the exact answer. |

I think all the Z4 M Roadsters have the 3 and 6 pin connectors for the CD Changer. If you have those, you won't need the DSP adaptor.
