OK, I've searched and couldn't find anything, so if there's another thread about this I apologize!

I'm currently stationed in Texas, a state which requires a front license plate. As there's currently no holes drilled and i don't want to make holes in my bumper, so I'm looking at this:

http://www.ninosport.com/ProductDeta...ductCode=400EU

I saw this on a Corette at the Cars and Coffee meet this last weekend. Was wondering if anyone has one on their Z?? I've seen some forums on 1addicts about it but nothing on the Z. I don't want to buy it if just doesn't work, but IDK if i'm just being too skiddish about it.

Update:

I've ordered one and am waiting for it to come in. I'll make sure to take pics along the way and edit my first post.

I've seen these used on other cars successfully.
It really depends on the bumper design and having space for it to tuck in.
If you have to mount under the bumper it then becomes vulnerable to damage. (if too low)

There are the Go Mini Go license plate holders as well.

http://www.gominigo.com/NHLPB-BMW.html

Uses the tow hook threads.

I believe people have ordered the BMW Z4 2009+ 'NO HOLES' LPB Kit one, but I also read that the BMW 100-108mm 'NO HOLES' LPB Kit one works. Can always ping Jim Millet, he's got one. Worse case, just download the gauge and measure http://www.images.gominigo.com/GMG-NoHolesHelper.pdf

You don't really have to run it to the battery directly. You can tap into something along the way. All you need is a multimeter and start testing wires for juice.

So, I'm listening to shakib (thank you!) and going to tap into something, to save crimping, running, taping, etc. Found an AWESOME site for everything wiring, in case no one has seen this before.

http://spaghetticoder.org/bmw/wds/e85/

AWESOME. Only _I_ can't zoom in...boo.

anyway, going to let the engine cool down before i stick my hands in there.

You need the Adobe SVG plugin to zoom..

I have the WDS on CD and it (SVG) is required to see everything properly. It is a free download. Google it and you will find it.

OK. Digging up an old thread to finish this DIY once and forall...

Don't get this Hideaway for our cars.

It's too low, even before a drop. It catches everything and scrapes. Every bump you hit, it rattles. Mine came without a fuse. It doesn't compliment the lines of the car...at all.

I bought the GMG No-Holes a while back, just waiting for something to happen to warrant to change. Well it happened yesterday. Went over a speed bump, as slow as humanly possible and it caught on something and ripped off. oh well. I'm really not that heart broken about it, just putting the info out there for others if they do a search.

The GoMiniGo was SO EASY though. geez. seriously. 5 minutes. Should've done that to begin with.
