Z4MC with premium package and radio sound quality

I had a Z4MC-2007 on rent till december last year without naviguation. the sound was clear and perfect. I did purshased the same car from USA in january (a 2007) with premium but also with Navigation. Now, the sound is not good at all. does the navigation is part of the problem ? does the HU is of less quality with navigation ? any comment would be appreciated. Anybody try to replace the HU and put a regular one (yes loosing navigation) ?

1. Press the "Tone" button and set bass and treble to dead in the middle (flat)
2. Go into the DSP settings and return everything to flat with no echo.

Now start the equalization process all over. I strongly recommend you leave the echo completely off. Adjust each of the equalizer settings one notch at a time and listen for a while between adjustments. The system can actually sound ok with good source (audio CD's). Low res MP3's sound like c***.
