PLEASE HELP convertible top went up but won't go down

So my soft top was torn and I had to replace it. After doing so the top was down after I fully switched it over I tested it to see if it works and it went up no problem, but when I tried to put it down, nothing. I checked fuses and nothing and there really is nothing else I can think of. When I press the button, the light comes on orange or red but nothing. The light to put the top up will not come on at all and I assume it is due to the fact that the to is up. If anyone can help me please do so! Thank you

Check the deck in the trunk.
The yellow light usually indicates that the micro switch isn't tripped.
Maybe the deck is up or the tab at the front of it isn't hitting the switch.

I knew the dealership was robbing when they said they had to reprogram something to fix it...
