Steering Wheel Trim Interchangeable?
I upgraded to a M steering wheel last year but recently I noticed the trim pieces around the multifunction buttons are wearing down, specifically the right one... I think everytime I hit the button my thumb nail kept making contact. Anyways, I was going to order replacement parts but I saw how riduclously expensive it was, plus I can't just replace 1 of the 3 pieces, I have to order all 3.
So I'm thinking I'll just slap on the ones from my non-M wheel... any idea if the non-M aluminum ones would fit on my M wheel? Only concern is the M wheel is thicker so not sure if it'll work. |

i think i remember someone either on this forum or on z4-forum swap over the non-m spokes to an m wheel. the sides seemed to fit without an issue but the bottom one didn't sit flush on the bottom part of the wheel

The bottom piece is different(narrower on the non M wheel) the side pieces fit fine. I thought about doing this myself to dress the wheel up a bit.
