2007 Z4 M Coupe lease

Just arranged the following lease, havent pulled the trigger, however it is 11k off MSRP, 579$ mo/24 mos/20k miles, 2900 out of pocket. The payment includes tax. Anythought would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Ask the dealer for the mf and the residual. I've been searching for some concrete information as to what the residuals and mf are for this month. I know the base rate on a 24 mo. last month was .00275 and the residual was 65% for 12k miles a year - so you should be at ~ 67 or 68% for only 10k miles a year.

From what it sounds like, you negotiated a good deal off msrp but they are making money back on the mf or some other portion of the deal. The monthly payment just seems a little high with that much money off and with another $3000 out of pocket on top of that...

Good luck and report back with any updates...

sounds about right, BUT, why put 2900 dwn? you should be able to not put anything dwn and be right at 700$ mth 24mths.
I would also think that you can get another $2k off the price.

Also depends on the car. that is what I was at for a z4M roady, with premium nav and heat, msrp $59k

this is a perfect thread. i was about to head to the dealer at lunch and have this very discussion regarding a z4m coupe that has been sitting on their showroom forever that i have been lusting after and all this crazy talk about trunk money has got me thinking about a second car (my wife is going to kill me) cant wait to see what it ends up being.

not sure, but go i go through cars every year and a half to two years and its a scary proposition to think that the market will dictate how much your car is worth and i travel alot so dealing with selling it to a private buying is out of the question because i'm never in town so after its all said and done leasing is cheaper for me because i'd have to trade my car in which i use to always get raped on (learned that the hard way (3 cars later)). But thats just for me, for others it might be different but i like the spice of life.

I buy outright... I can't seem to stay under a certain mileage so it is cheaper for me. Plus I like to own my cars.

I was able to score a payment of 530 a month (tax included), 1k out of pocket on a 2 year, 10k mile lease with a 66% residual (36-37k or so, I don't have the paperwork in front of me). Seems like a pretty solid deal.

I negotiated the cost of the car down to $43,500 - fully loaded 2007, interlagos blue, so it would have been an awesome purchase, but I'm self employed so the lease writeoff is nice. Plus, if I decide to buy, the residual is pretty reasonable and I will have still made off with a decent discount.

Amazing deals are out there right now, good luck!

You got an M Coupe to 43,500 loaded? That is an amazing deal. I wish I was a better haggler.

They REALLY wanted to move this car. It's been sitting there for a long time. The very first day of negotiating with them I was at 7640 under invoice. That was three weeks ago when the incentive was 5k.

What is your money factor? Without a doubt you did a good job negotiating. Also, what was the otd price (taxes included, fees, etc.)? With that high of a residual you aren't paying but ~$9,000 over the next two years. Which makes me wonder what your mf is.

I don't get the whole lease thing.

Why wouldn't you just buy it? I wanna keep mine forever!

Hmmm lets see -

Have a 803.00 month payment or have a 450.00 month payment and get to have a new model when they are out in two years ....

Yeah................

Hmmm, lets see. I can drive 30,000 miles a year and still pay $650 a month. You try and drive 30,000 miles a year on a 20,000 mile lease and we'll see who is paying more.

This is my primary vehicle and I travel a lot (plus I commute to work) I sure think buying is a much better deal than leasing.

Plus I am driving MY car, not just "renting" it from someone.
