I saw a street cleaner clearing up salt and sand this morning on my way to work. Finally called and took my baby off of the "storage" insurance so I can drive it tonight/this weekend!

Lucky You... Really hoping for rain this weekend, and no freezing to clean the white powder lining our roads...

On vacation next week and they are calling for mid 40's Mon & Tues, I may have to give in.

When I have just storage insurance it means I am storing my vehicle (for the winter) as I use my Truck as a DD during the winter because of all the snow we get and the fact that they drop many many tons of salt on the roads to combat the snow and ice.

When on storage insurance it just covers the vehicle for any non operating accident or loss. So it takes off the health insurance coverages and stuff like that. It drops my premiums right over $50 a month (and I don't pay much to start with)

Full coverage on R6, Z4 and Titan along with condo insurance ~ $145 a month
Full coverage on R6, Titan, storage coverage on Z4 and condo insurace ~$90 a month.

In Iowa they rate motorcycles as you can only use them 7-8 months of the year and so you cannot use a storage insurance as they say it is "built in" to the price at most insurance companies. Then again I pay $17 a month for full coverage on my 2008 R6 so I can't really complain at all.

Took mine to work on Thursday. Would have taken it Friday, which was a really nice day, but it was "Unofficial St. Patrick's Day" on campus, which is an excuse for mobs of kids to get drunk in the morning and stumble around all day. A colleague's 300C got badly smashed by some drunken idiot who then drove off. The dumbass drove into a nearby parking garage under a dorm, so it was easy enough for the police to find him.

This week is supposed to be decent enough, so I'll be out again in it. Thing that sux here is that the state is broke, so the screwed up roads will probably stay that way for a long time.

Yeah, that does suck. I was actually at the bar last night and a cop comes in and starts asking people if they drive an Audi... thank god he didn't say BMW. Some drunk chick backed into it in the parking lot and the cops saw it happen, haha. Talk about good timing!!!

You can say that again... one of them decided to have a diarrhea break on my car while I was making a right turn. They may have puny brains but they sure know exactly what they're doing. The pisser is that I just washed my car yesterday.
