Too funny! I'll never forget an E-bay posting of a friend some years ago. He offered a bottle of 'Genuine Lucas Wire Smoke' to 'replace the smoke that tends to leak out of your Lucas wires and components.' The bidding was a joke, of course, and it rose to a ridiculous amount before E-bay noticed and pulled the ad.

Sportscars

First:
1988 Fiero GT (red on gray) with enough options to make it 1 of 214. Most comfortable sports car seats ever. 150 HP 150 torque or thereabouts. Bought it new in '88 (roughly 25 years) and sold it last year for over half what I paid (I got lucky) despite having 100,000 miles on the odo as a daily driver. A lovely car, really. Prior year versions crippled the reputation.
Second:
2007 Z4MC (Imola/Imola)
I am impressed by the number and variety of cars owned by some members. Quite the collection....

Dave,

Not bad, not bad at all! I always suspected that there was a long list of interesting cars in your past.

Thanks Rick! But I have a lot to learn. My wife was a ski racer, and does very, very well at speed. I have no delusions about my skill. As navigator I sure can get us lost!

Well to my wifes chagrin I have had a few: 1986 fiero GT was the first "sporty car" 1990 300z twin turbo, 1993 yellow miata, 1986 porsche 911, 1986 Porsche 944 turbo, 1996 Porsche 996, 1993 BMW M-5, 2004 300 ZX, 2005 ZO6 Corvette, 2006 BMW M coupe, and some other less memorable ones. Oh yeah had a 1976 MGB and a couple of old triumphs

Wish I still had the 944 turbo - nice car - chipped and loved the look

I think I will keep the M coupe now I have Fi with ESS

'92 NSX
'95 M3
'00 S2000
'93 RX-7
'94 300ZX Twin Turbo

Questionable "sports cars" (let's call them sporty)

'89 Civic Si
'92 Civic Si
'05 330Ci ZHP
'98 Prelude SH
'02 RSX-S

The M is for sale now too... In a perfect world, I'd be buying another NSX as it was definitely by far my favorite, but the more likely choices are either returning for a 4th taste of S2000 (AP2 this time) or buying a brand new FR-S...

Like to see all those Nissans, especially the twin turbos... The early 350Z are cool too for sure, but the interior is kind of cheap feeling even for it's price point.

Once you get the B finished and drive it, notice that if you disregard the noise and lack of A/C, the car drives really well and belies what an old design it really is. Do pay close attention to suspension. steering and shocks - they will all conspire to create a miserable drive if worn.
