She's a monster. Be carefull. Those corners are going to come up a lot faster. And run 100 octane while on the track till you get it on the dyno.

Sorry to chime in with a simple question here, but this thread has been very helpful!

I will measure my pulleys asap. I have a VT2-500 kit, so presumably I should have a 130mm crank pulley and a 79mm SC pulley. What is the correct belt length for this combo? I saw a few pictures, but has anyone figured it out perfectly?

Also, is it correct to assume the bearing in an ESS SC pulley could go bad and cause a bit of noise? It doesn't sound correct. I'd like to do both pulleys, the tensioner, the belt, and clean my air filter. Anything else I should add to the list for others who are wondering?

Well i'm afraid to report the original yellow brake light mid high speed corner limp mode was still there. The car reached oil temps of close to 250 quickly, and rapidly lost power at that point (within 3 hot laps) . And worst of all the limp mode caused me to loose control mid apex and due to the wet ground from recent storms ..... I didn't stop till i was in the trees . No i don't feel like posting pictures at this point . Full damages still unknown but front driver quarter panel, front bumper, drivers headlight , drivers door, left rear control arm all def toast. Do not , i repeat do not track your car if you are having the yellow brake light limp mode.(Only code in ECU was for the Brake booster which i have fully replaced including all vacuum lines /sensors etc. long ago including installing a check valve to prevent boost from entering the system.Brakes were completely solid again zero fade as usual with my PFC kit and ducts) It will eventually bite you in the ass no matter how good you are. I have been pushing my luck for almost a 1.5 y and mine finally ran out. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. If ESS can't give me a software fix I'm done with this car after it is repaired.

That is really sad to read....
I hope you get your car fixed and the software issues solved.

Terrible news. Sounds like a couple of us are having body panels replaced. I had someone run into the back of my car when it was parked on Thursday, and then on Friday a slab of plywood bouncing around on the highway damaged the front bumper. Earlier in the week my autodimming mirror with the gauges installed started to leak after only two weeks (common and unrelated to the gauge install)...

Best of luck getting everything sorted, and I really hope to see it fixed soon.

I have not gotten the yellow brake light limp mode from street driving.

I do have the Brake booster code. Did you ever figure out what the brake booster code was? Sorry to hear all of this. What has ESS said about the code, as well as the yellow brake light limp mode?

That if it gets that signal at high speed i.e. on track it will completely kill the throttle. In this case it did that and almost killed me too.

And they don't know the cause for the limp mode but have experienced it?

What causes the brake booster code?

What causes the brake booster code?
AJ said it was from the sensor sending loss of vacuum in the booster . So the first thing I did long ago was replace the booster all the vacuum lines , the sensor , and install a check valve to prevent boost from leaking into the booster . I think the ECU is detecting the boost somewhere else and isn't liking it this thinking there is a problem with the brakes and it should cut the throttle . I and they have no idea why it happens on the track and not the street . Bottom line is my brakes are solid as a rock no issue with them at all and it's still showing that code and I'm still getting the limp mode . I was told by ESS that the new tune for the VT-525 should take care of the problem . guess not . Interestingly when I was searching for an appropriate sized check valve I called Active Autowerks . They turn this sensor off with their SC kits for this very reason and wondered why ESS didn't . ESS response was they don't like deactivating safety equipment , so I attempted the mechanical solution . That has failed , so it's turn it off time bc the "safety "feature is going to get one of us killed.

It's attached to the vacuum line that splits off from the booster and heads back towards the intake .

So this code is normal and to be expected when installing an ESS SC kit on a Z4M ?

I am having the brake booster code with my car as well but no yellow light limp mode and i didn't do anything because my mecanic said that it was ok and normal with the SC kit install.
I did have an accident as well and the ABS did not engage properly (i didn't hear it), are the brake booster code and the yellow brake light on dashboard related?

Could i be having some sort of failure that caused me to have a brake failure?
