Do you think the sensors are sitting too far back in the bungs?

Looks like you placed the EGT way down the line. Mine is right up on the headers. What's your take on this?

They are getting unfolded from the ECU back, and run on the opposite side underneath.

The EGT is placed here as per the Euro spec Section 1
See pic:

Apparently, they only do one thing - tell the computer the cats are working. They don't do a myriad of calculations like other cars. (disclaimer: this is what I've been told).

I will check on this and get back to you tomorrow. There was a reasoning behind this, but I've misplaced it in my brain.

Cross my fingers for day 2...

I sometimes see an EGT plausibility fault code in the ECU. What software are you going to run, if any?

Response: the farther back the better. we want there to be different readings compared to the front ones, the more different the readings the better the ecu thinks that cat is.
Sounds good to me

Some more shots of the install.

Fitment of the headers is 100% bang on. Freed up a lot of room as well. I have to say a HUGE thanks to CG Motorsports of Richmond, BC. They are true BMW guru's.

The rear O2's were run above the heat shield, securely fastened. The job really looks stock, with no giveaways from underneath unless you're looking for it.

The best part? NO CODES!

The car feels like it went on an extreme diet, and the right pedal seems much more sensitive than before. Then there's the noise.

I'll save my full review for tomorrow once I've put some miles on.

Quick question: Is there a resetting of anything I should be doing in lieu of not having a specific Euro-tune for the car? Or does it not matter and the ECU will adjust accordingly?

egg cerrent... may i ask how difficult it was for the shop to run the wires? i hope to not pay an outrageous amount for that part of the install.

thanks.

Install for running the wires, cutting it back from the ECU and running it above heat shield and securing them properly etc cost $172.80 CAD.
Less than the cost of a set of new O2's and EGT from Europe (the right length out of the box)? Not sure on that. Maybe someone can chime in
