its hard to compare , the RPis are a helluva lot louder. but in a very good way. The Diablos are perfect if you just want a little rumble on top of the stock sound. Both have some low RPM drone. It doesn't bother me though, I think some people on here are just sensitive haha.

update.....

obviously had some drone with the rpi's. here is something you guys may want to try since it worked for me. go buy roxul acoutic batts and line your trunk with 1" of batting. i removed all my carpeting and plastic panels and put acoutic batt under everything. replaced all the panels and carpet (was much harder putting them back since it was tight with the batting) and the drone from 1-2nd is almost gone. only drone now is in high gears under load at low rpm. i say this reduced drone by 30%

im also putting in a trunk mat to flatten out the carpet closest to the seats since its a bit soft now which should also contribute some sound insulation as well. went for a drive and its noticably quiter in the cabin.

dynomat wont take away drone. it will only prevent any panels from vibrating. the roxul will kill the sound.

check out B-Quiet for various sound deadening/absorbing products.
http://www.b-quiet.com/vcomp.html

"Vcomp is a noise barrier composite consisting of a dense 1/8" vinyl based polymer barrier with a 1/4" thick foam decoupler. It has a total thickness of 3/8", weighs approximately 1 lb/sq. ft. "

I've used their dampeners before, they're great quality.

You could buy some ear muffs that are good to 105 db? Nothing like installing exhausts that are too loud to hear, but good for everyone else around you to hear.

its not that loud. the mufflers sit directly under the cabin of the coupe, so you will hear resonance throughout. i personally think the stock exhaust is boring for this car. you obviously think otherwise. good thing they make more than one kind of exhaust to suit different wants. im sure the car in your avatar has a louder exhaust...

Dubsesd. It was a joke. I don't have a stock exhaust either.

What kind of exhaust do you have mounted? I didn't catch the sarcasm in your post. Sorry

At first I wasn't too sure about the tips myself. But I think they looks amazing in person when they are cleaned up and polished inside. I clean up my car weekly so that isn't a problem for me, especially since I don't drive in rain. My original plan was to buy another large tip from rpi and make them the same size, but I'm now leaning towards the current look

Would it be easy enough to weld on another larger RPi tip? Is the enough room for it without modification?

There is room. But you would need adjustable dkf hangers. It would be a little tricky separating and welding the tips together again without damaging the finish though.

Are there tunnels where you live? That was my fix for the drone issue for this exhaust. One time late at night, the second I punched the throttle as the car entered the tunnel in 3rd gear, brake lights around me lit up instantaneously...

Good info here on reducing resonance. That is the issue, especially with the coupe, since the hatch area just acts like one big speaker/subwoofer enclosure. I suspect the hatch itself also contributes to resonance--a lot. Has anyone tried removing the trim and stuffing some of these deadening materials in there?
