OEM ZCP wheels + Nearly Brand new tires.
Looks like my car is going to get bought back from insurance after all, so I will be selling all my mods. Sorry I don't have accurate pics at this moment, the car is at an insurance holding yard until middle of this week when I can have it towed and remove the parts. OEM ZCP wheels + Hankook v12 tires wheels are in "good" condition, they have some rash and nicks but are still really nice, all the damage is right on the edge of the lip and is from tire mounting machines. Tires were new in december and have maybe 2,000 miles on them. Paid $950 for tires. Price $1725 + $85 shipping. Wheel Pics: The wheels don't have black centercaps, I have the new updated design OEM centercaps.

yeah... why are the wheels on a blue M3 and then the close ups are on a silver m3?

I'll be getting better current pics probably tomm or the next day, once I pick the car up from the insurance lot and being parting it out.

Wheel Size
Do you have recent pics? I'm just on the north side of the border and travel south enough to come take a look if the pics look good. Wheel size? I have an 06 m roadster. Thanks.

Because I don't want to run 19's anymore, the tires are more expensive, the ride is worse, and the tire selection is worse.
function has to outrule form sometimes.

They look so good and are lighter than the stock wheels. I think about this when I change back to my stock wheels for autox and feel the difference in weight.

ZCP 19" v 18"
Beastcharmer,
Even though the 19" are lighter they have more mass further from the center. So you are saying that even for auto-xing you get better acceleration, response with the 19" ZCP? i love their look, btw. |

I'm only commenting on the weight of the wheels when I change them out. I can't comment on accel yet, as my stock wheels have Direzza's & my ZCP's have worn out Sumitomo's from the previous owner. The PS2's sitting in my office should be replacing them soon, so I can have some real grip for street driving comparison. Don't have any real plans to autox with the 19's because I love the Direzza grip so much. It's like crack

Yes, but the same brand tire with similar rolling dia will weigh more in 18" than 19" due to higher sidewall, so if you consider the radial distribution of mass, it is not clear that the moment of inertia of the 19" setup is higher. It's more likely a wash actually between the two setups.

wheels still avail?
Are the wheels still available? I'm not sure how to contact you directly as I'm new to the forum. I live just north of the border in Canada so if the setup is still available I can come down and check them out.
Thanks. |
