Installation of UUC Short shift kit
Is installation of the uuc short shift kit something that a do-it-yourselfer can do? I change break pads and other routine operations. Just don't know what is involved with the shifter upgrade.

It's not hard, but it is a lot of work. You have to drop the section 1 and x pipe, then remove the heat shield. You will be getting pretty intimate with your car. You have to dismantle quite a bit to get to it, and the dssr has not been plug and play for most.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure I want that level of intimacy with my M.

It's not too bad except taking out satans death child. Or whatever it was called in the DIY. Removing and retaining ring and replacing the pin took forever. I was under the car for hours over a couple days.
