TIRE GURUS - m6 wheels on 3.0si non-sport?
Hey. I'm interested in slapping on some replica 19" m6 wheels on my 2007 white 3.0si non sport. I got some questions about fitment.
The wheels are 19x8.5 (f) & 19x9.5 (r) Offset 35 (f) & Offset 40 (r) I'm planning on wrapping these wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS 235/35ZR19 (f) & 245/35ZR19 (r) Does this look ok? Do I have to worry about fitment/rubbing issues? Thanks. |

The widths and offsets of the rims should be ok. Wheels should sit just about flush with the fender edges at all four corners. I don't think you should encouter any rubbing issues unless you plan on lowering your car too extreme. An offset of 42 or 45 for the rear may have been more ideal.
As far as tires go, 245 for the rear does sound a bit narrow, and will indeed look stretched out a bit on a 9.5" width rim. It won't cause any real harm, but will just look funny. Normally I see 265/30 used this fitment, which is what I think you should go with.

I'm looking for a good set of all-season tires. The all season tires that i found only has 245 and then it jumps to 275. I dont think 275 will fit. How funny would the 245 on 19x9.5 look? |

275 would most likely rub in your case, so if you had to choose then defninitely go with the 245 to avoid problems.
As for looks, It might look ok, depending on what tires you get. Some tires have more square looking sidewalls, while other cans look more rounded. Hopefully you don't end up with the 'stretched' look as described in this thread: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2234638 But most likely it won't be that extreme, and should be fine.

I believe that the sport suspension comes with the sport package which is an option so it is possible to have an 3.0si with sport suspension.
