Oddly enough I have been in talks with the company that produces that exact item, AGT Styling. They claim that they actually produced the set for Dubsesd, and that if you provide the exact dimensions and jack lad locations, that it will be an exact match.

I'm considering pulling the trigger on this, should know for sure within the week.

IIRC, Dubs modified his a bit after he got them.
It might be good to check in with him.

Group buy anyone? Maybe if we can get enough buyers we can get them custom cut to length and around the pads. I suppose I can just cut them myself and epoxy the edges.

Those don't look that hard to make, I have a new local carbon guy that has turned out some amazing work in the past few weeks. Let me ask and see what he thinks.

They are easy to make.
When I made mine I bought material from APR.

After some further email conversation with both AGT and CA-Int, it turns out that they will pre-cut the jack pad locations out during production, I just have to provide the location and dimensions of the pads.

I got a quote for 300 Euros (roughly $328) shipped for the CF set, so it looks like I'll be giving this a shot.

I assume dimensions would be slightly different for aero vs regular side skirts?

Is it me or does it looks there there's something finishing the exposed edges of their part? The CF weave doesn't go to the edge and it almost looks like there's a plastic bead on the edge. I was going to ask the vendor about this.

On mine and Dubs, the corners were radiused and the edge trim finished under the car.

Wow, long thread about a group buy which came to an abrupt end. Dub's car looked mint as usual. That's pretty much the look I'm going for. I'd be in for a group buy but unfortunately can't devote the time to organize one.

Yeah, he was always on the front line as far as new aesthetic mods and customization. One of his pictures made me fall in love with the car back in the day, solidified my desire to purchase one.

At first I was curious about the trimming/edging on the extensions as well, but considering they take a pre-made set and then cut them to size/shape, I imagine it's the most efficient way to clean up the edge and make it uniform after the cutting. I think it looks decent, though.

I wish I knew, they are pretty awesome looking. Can't say I've been able to find anything even remotely like them for our vehicles, and I've definitely tried.

Which would make sense. It's aggravating how little aftermarket support there is for the E85/86 platform. Lots of support for the E46, decent support for the E89 even, but slim pickings for us.

Yeah, and that's exactly why I took on my current project.
Don't you just love how these new cars coming out (M2, M4 etc) have instant access to a boat load of after market options.

That is definitely aggravating. Soooo many different options available for spoilers and splitters and canards and everything else under the sun, all custom made and perfect fit.

At least a decent number of companies made performance upgrades for our vehicles, though. Just severely lacking in aero and aesthetic upgrades.
