I already have a similar product in my car, although slightly larger (although a smaller one was available 9lbs seemed to be the sweet spot in terms of longevity and weight.)
I run a LithiumPros L925 http://lithiumpros.com/products/ I've had it in the car for over 4-5 months now without a single problem. Street driven, parked for a week at a time, driven on the track multiple times. Well worth the money.

Braille battery has numerous options with varying weight/power, including a 6.9lb option with an MSRP of $148
http://www.braillebattery.com/index.php/batteries/b106/ Keep in mind there is an amperage compromise in reducing battery size & weight |

than a Odessey PC680 with some some serious CCA and capacity. Not cheap compared to AGM batteries, but much cheaper than the Lithium Braille's. |

Normally with a small battery there are plenty of compromises, I can't tell you how many of the Odyssey batteries I've had go bad over the years. Tried trickle charging, battery kill switches, running them every day. Anytime you had a problem with a car and couldn't get it fired up within 3 tries, she was never going to fire. As a result I've always been turned off on the smaller batteries but run them out of necessity and just swapped as needed ( I think our turbo Porsche race car was on it's 4th one in 1.5 years before we switched to LithiumPros). When the Lithium batteries came out they where super expensive and while I thought it was a great Idea, the cost was just a bit excessive at the time, well north of $2,400. When I saw the LithiumPro and what it delivered for the price, I still felt it was a little steep, but for what it delivers and the weight savings it was worth every penny. There are no compromises other than price. I can leave my car parked for weeks at a time, have driven it on the street, on the track, in the snow, and daily in 100 degree heat and haven't had one hickup yet and don't expect to. If you look at what Lithium is delivering in cell phones, tablets and laptop these days, it's no wonder battery manufactures are making the most out of this technology. Eventually the cost will come down but for the weight savings it delivers over other modifications it's still currently a bargain.

Ive been running my pc680 for three years now and it's only driven once a week at max, which is worse than driving it daily. I did have issues in the beginning until I had it deep charged at autozone, and miraculously has been issue free for the past year. Can't beat it at $100 price point

Just trying to research their products now. I think my old lead acid battery is on it's last legs.
