Where In The Heck
How the heck do you check the power steering level on your Z4, I mean wow, I can't even find the refill reservoir Steering has gotten heavy, and the steering warning light flashed for a second then it was fine. So where is the reservoir.

Well glad I could provide some comedy, but not funny to me, in it's ever pursuit of weight reduction, a shitty design is about to cause two things....me to get rid of this car it's just digging in my pockets and it's not fun anymore, and two, no more bummers. I know I'm going to get blasted but my Toyota just runs..it's that simple. From what I've read this repair could run me 4 g's...NOT! But as always thanks for the info!

My 2008 Z4 3.0si (N52) does not have a dipstick. And my 2014 Range Rover Sport doesn't either. My 2012 Prius does though! So I can go check the Toyota when I have the urge!

Ha, I thought the same thing too about the Prius. But a recent job location change caused a 126 mile daily round trip commute. So I gave up my 556 hp Cadillac CTS-V (13 mpg premium gas) for the 134 hp Prius and am getting 50 plus mpg. I tinted the windows too so no one will recognize me. And have satellite radio to help pass the commute time.

My car has the N52 engine without a dipstick. My wife got a charge out of telling me that if I drove like an idiot, I would be the dipstick LOL!

Noise from steering box
Ok from a dead stop I start to turn the steering wheel and I get a noise from under the hood. If I move forward or backwards and then turn the wheel I get less noise. What can I do to fix this problem?

It may be as simple as lifting the hood and tightening the nuts for the stut braces that run from the shock towers to the center of the firewall. Be VERY careful not to overtighten. There are torque specs for this but i don't have them readily available. Perhaps if you search the forum.
