Swap: Walnut/Maderia trim for Carbon Leather
Interested in swapping my black Carbon Leather trim from my '07 MC for the Walnut/Madeira, in other words: This: For this: (None of the images are mine, just representative) Offer is subject to all sorts of things, predominately related to timing -- who wants to take their interior apart in the summer? Just a preliminary lookout for interest. |

Before getting the M I was sure I wanted carbon leather instead of walnut. But now that I've lived with the walnut for a little while, it's really grown on me.
Good luck! I'm sure someone will trade you

^^ +1 The walnut does grow on you. I didn't care for wood in a "hard core" sports car, but now I can't imagine having a completely black interior. Still, I think the walnut would have looked better on a lighter interior. Good luck w/ your trade.

i'm still pinching myself whether i should've bought the sepang bronze roadie with light sepang interior and madeira wood trim when i'd flown into houston to buy my interlagos m coupe. at the time, i was definitely a little put off by sepang (it was the centerpiece car on the showroom floor) and sitting in the cabin gave me more of a luxury feeling as opposed to a sporty feel. thinking back now though, it was among the nicest combinations and would've seriously set me thinking had i more time to think about it.
hope the madeira swap happens! |

As the owner of a woody, Madeira does not look good in pictures. If you haven't seen it in person you cannot make a judgement on how it looks. I personally love it but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Aluminum and carbon leather is so banal.

+1 I was dead set against wood because in pictures it looks bad. However after having it in person it really is beautiful, much darker and richer than in most pictures.
Now I think the interior wouldn't look nearly as cool in all black with carbon leather; wood adds some really nice warmth and color to the interior. Edit: thinking about it more, I think the best trim is the one that looks better in the context of exterior and interior color.

The Z4 with a tan interior and pretty much any kind of wood trim looks terrible. Now a black interior, with saddle brown trimmed door cards and seats with wood trim looks rather classy.
