The DOT is working on shutting the likes of this down.

Pricing for Z4 Services:
$425 - Open & Reseal Charge / Includes Amber Removal Add On Options: $170 Black Out (using semi-flat black) or $220 Jet Black w/ Clear Coat $280 - Dual LED Angel Eye Ring Upgrade $120 ZKW Clear Lens Swap *On site installation cost is extra, and none of these services are same day unfortunately. Lots of extra time is required for these perma-seal applications, such as the newer models have. This is also why the costs are higher then other vendors, as we do not cut the lights open. Let me know if anyone else has specific questions. We are offering special pricing for the first few members, as of right now we have no one taking advantage of it yet so act soon! What's the ZKW clear lens swap.
Boy, it can get pretty pricey. I think I'm interested in getting the flat black upgrade plus the dual angel eyes.

Also interested for more info on the clear lens swap...
Also for the general Z4 crowd, what would amber removal entail? All post-facelift (06-08) models already have clear lenses, it's the bulb that flashes yellow correct? I know Starscream coded his car to Euro settings so the eyelids never lit up as DRL's. So in essence he cleared out his ambers without physically modifying them -- while retaining ambers for necessary functions, ie turn signals. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showpost...5&postcount=24 I guess maybe you could "clear out" the ambers if you swapped the outer bulb of the "yoke" as Starscream referred it to a clear one? For sure. The perma-seal upcharge is $285. We open the lights without cutting them, and when its all put back together its done very cleanly. We try to minimize any imperfections what so ever. Typically for the M3 crowd we offer our angel eyes are $425 installed, which is very competitive. The ZKW lens swap maximizes performance by removing the frosty projector lens, and swapping into a crystal clear one. All the characteristics of the performance are enhanced. |

Would you be able to install a bulb behind the inboard portion of our lights? Not sure if you are aware but the inboard "eyes" are totally non-functional so I think it would be very cool if those had a yellow bulb behind it, aimed down, and used during poor visibility conditions.
...not really interested in spending the money -- I got way too many track-related add-ons to tackle (full cage, ahem) -- but I think others on the forum might like this idea? PS. We met a few times on track over the past few years. See you out there this season?

Hi LightWerkz, can you tell us more about the LED rings you use.
Following your links I see they are Morimoto xbA LEDs. What kinda of specs, i.e. color temperature, light intensity, life expectancy, etc... |

Thumbs up for lightwerkz. They did my e46 conversion and they're absolutely stunning.
