Tire pressure
I have a 2007 3.0si sport package. Like many others I didn't like the stock run flats. Bought a set of Continental Extreme Contact DW and am wondering about the perfect tire pressure for these non-run flats? The run flats call for 33 lbs front and 38 back. My local BMW dealer will not give an opinion and don't even want to mount them for me ?
Are they crazy or am I? Rico |

Those tire pressure recommendations on the doorjamb are determined for size, not type of tires. If you're replacing like size for size, there's no reason as to why you shouldn't run the same pressure.

Not being a smart a$$ or anything, but why would anyone even go to the dealer for tires? There are plenty of tire stores that would be more than happy to help you mount them.

I feel like this is a pretty standard recommendation based on the car itself, maybe not personalized to the tires. I'd be curious to see what they return for other individuals on different set ups.

Sorry to respond to this so late....but I'm wanting to know the same question...I have a 2003 Z4 2.5i....switched from RFTs to Conti DWS....the stock pressures are 30/33...but that seems a little soft as far as turn in, and I'm getting a little trouble with wheel spin....Has anyone actually tried different pressures with this tire or any other non-RFT and found better handling performance?
