How to find out what spec you have
Hi, i recently bought a 2008 3.0si Coupe. I was wondering if there was a way of finding out what spec your car had... Do you actually have to ring a BMW dealership to find out what "listed" extras you have...
I know this post my sound daft as i can visually see what i have but i am curious to know what color black i have as i am sure the coupe came in two different black shades... someone please correct me if i am wrong, thanks in advance |

I think there is a spreadsheet floating around somewhere for all the Z4 Ms. Not sure if there is one for the 3.0si's... |

At least in US models, Premium package includes the following:
8-way power seats with 3-way seat memory Auto-dimming interior & exterior mirrors Elastic nets on back of seats & passenger footwell Xenon Headlights with auto-levelling If you have any of the other components then you "should" have the Xenon headlights. Jet Black (nonmetallic) and Black Sapphire Metallic were the 2 black colours for America. |

The packages are different for different countries - I have a Canadian spec 3.0si car with the sport package but no premium package, and that included the bi-xenon headlights and seatback/footwell nets.
The Xenons are self leveling - when you turn them on you should see them move down then back up to level as they initially adjust. They also have labels under the hood (bonnet) near the lights, one on each side, warning of high voltage. |

oo7, You will have a Euro spec car, ALL Beemer models after 1998 (if i remember right) had auto leveling fitted, so can't tell from that, but as others have said look under the bonnet beside the lights there will be a warning sticker of high voltage.
In the U.K. if you go to a dealer they will give you a print out of the spec of your car and any service history BMW have carried out, don't know if they would do that in Dublin though. |
