My car now thinks its German! Euro Coding done to it, Amber deleted in headlights

Ok so for people who don't flick through all the threads in the forum I thought I'd make a thread here,

See here for pics, But then again I could always copy them to this thread

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=477455

And as mentioned in the thread I am looking into getting the necessary parts to be able to load Euro coding on your cars/lcm,

Its also totally reversible so when time for inspection comes you can switch back to the US coding

Very happy with the results!

took my own advise and will re-post what I wrote here to include pics

************************************************** ***
Euro Coding, COMPLETE!
and a total success,

Lets talk you through the visual differences first,

Ok JUST sidelights on, Now it only illuminates the inner angel eye

Now headlights turned on fully,

Only illuminates the angel eye and the Xenon light (exactly like Europe)
Very hard to photograph as it kept blinding the camera,

Now, Obviously the car thinks its in Europe, and in Europe they don't have the rear bumper lights,
So,

Now mine won't illuminate, So its time to paint these imola red

Another thing, Again hard to photo,
But the amber directionals now ONLY light up the bottom two lights,
The top "egg yoke" light is a US only thing and doesn't appear on the Euro headlights,
So now the car thinks its European it won't know these lights exist, So therefor it won't illuminate them

Ok so what else did I get coded,
Well I no longer have an "Accept" screen on the Nav when I start the car,
Europeans obviously don't need one so its not there anymore,
Also I can close the roof with the key, and open with the key,
I also got the alarm activated,
There was a bunch of other things I did too but mostly the important ones were the lights,
Now,

I'm looking into buying the hardware to be able to do this myself so watch this space and I can start doing your cars

Yup, but I didn't want drl,
Drl would just be the inner angel eye as per my first two pics

Maybe it's just the camera but your halo/drl look way brighter and whiter than mine.

Also, 3rd brake light should be able to be tapped into from brake lights no? It's a decent feature I'd like to keep. Possible?

Third brake light works as normal, it's the 2 bumper lights that's disabled,
And yes you can hold open and close from the key and it will open/close the top

I'll try to compile a list of changes,
Just need the buy the parts then I'll start doing it myself

Sorry I wasn't clear; I meant can you simply press and release the open and close buttons to get the top to open or close, or do you still have to hold them down?

Yes its a press and hold thing,
The US coding obviously allows us to open but not close remotely,
We had to put the key in the door and hold,
Well with Euro coding you can just hold close and it will close

I have had a module anyway that's been able to let me do the one touch opening and closing for years now but its just another feature of Euro coding that I might as well activate,

Those US-specific things are funny. Good job though, it certainly looks like your car now behaves just like mine!

How does your DRL work now? My headlight is always on with inner halo when I start the car and bottom amber strip comes on at night...

Yes this feature is worldwide,
But in the US we can't close it with the key,
We have to put the key in the door and lock it and hold lock to close,
Now with euro coding I can close the roof with the key in my hands and not in the door

Yeah I'm happy with how it looks,
I'm actually British and grew up in England so I'm not used to seeing the amber come on with the headlights and I've never liked it on US spec cars,
Glad I could get rid of it

Looks awesome! So how does this get done? Is it something that a BMW tuner shop could do?
