FS: Race Seat Installation Hardware Kits (Many Available)
I have a lot of these kits I've put together. Price per kit, shipped CONUS, is $8. To include a 0.5ml tube of blue Loctite add $3. Accept cash or paypal. Contents: 4) Grade 10.9 (C33-39 Rockwell) M8 x 1.25mm pitch, 25mm length cap screw 4) Grade 10.9 (C33-39 Rockwell) M8 x 1.25mm pitch, 30mm length cap screw 8) Class 10 steel (C38 Rockwell) M8 17mm OD flatwasher 4) Class 10 steel (C38 Rockwell) M10 21.5mm OD flatwasher When installing racing seats, always use at least Class 8.8 hardware, which is C23-34 Rockwell hardness with 120,000psi tensile strength. The hardware I'm selling is higher class with 150,000psi tensile strength. Installation notes: I have used this hardware with the VAC Race Seat installation kit for Z4. It should work with most seats and mounting kits, as M8 is the standard for these. Again, this is for most, there will always be exceptions. For fastening the brackets to the floor mounts, use one 25mm bolt with one M10 washer per corner. To fasten the seat to the side brackets, use the 30mm length bolts with the M8 (smaller) washers. The order is: seat shell | washer | bracket | washer | screw cap Note: it is advisable to use blue Loctite on the threads once the seat's final position has been determined, and is being bolted in. Obviously it's not necessary for mock up. For an extra $3 I can include 0.5ml tube of blue Loctite. Pics: (M10 washers not pictured) Why are the washers blue? While not the case with all metric washers, they are often coated blue in order to easily and quickly distinguish from inch sized washers. The blue color has nothing to do with the material or strengh of the washers. To buy: PM me and I will give you the address to mail $8 (or $11 including Loctite) cash (USD) to. Please put it in a folded piece of paper to aid in disguising the package contents. I will include a stamp to cover this postage with each kit. I will send your kit to the return address you write on the envelope unless otherwise specified. I can also PM you references of my itrader rating on other forums. Cash is preferred, especially in such small amounts, but if you want to pay with paypal PM me for my paypal address, and leave your shipping address in the comments section. Edit: Thanks mods for cleaning this up. I am not attempting to run a business off this or get rich. Simply offering stuff that would otherwise sit around and collect dust and get lost as an easy solution should you need some hardware. Last edited by SONAR; 01-19-2012 at 07:03 PM.. |
