Short Video at the track

Finally was able to get an external mic setup for my Contour camera. It was my first time using it so the audio is not perfect yet but I am going to play with it some more to get rid of some of the wind noise and distortion.

For some reason the video quality was not the best (in addition to some stuff on the lense)... I am going to have to check the camera settings.

Garage List
Do you instruct at Etown? If you could get me solo'd my first day I would run there. But the thought of having to run with noobs entire day before getting my "license" has prevented me from running their road course.

You should run a wider angle setting. Where's the mic mounted? I found mounting on rear bumper with one of those furry mic covers worked pretty well.

PS - the s2k couldn't find an apex on a triangle.

I do... I know you track alot and are very compentant working the levers so it should be no problem getting you solo'd after one session. I just need the one session so I can report back to the track director that I rode with you and can confirm you know what your doing.

I will have to play with the camera settings. I already found the first issue and that was the lense the camera has in it. It's a handed down Contour from my dad who used it to film his landing/take offs in his plane so it has some special lense in it to limit the amount of light. I took that off and it was instantly better. I will have to see if there is a wide angle setting.

I followed you advice and picked up one of those furry mic covers. Currently I had it mounted right above the license plate.

I dont know for sure what that S2k driver was thinking, he gave me the point by going down that straight but I didnt feel comfortable passing him so I held back. It looked to me like he was trying stay out of the way and let me by but that is not a passing zone. All the other sessions before that one he was hitting the apex pretty much okay.. not perfect but not that bad.
