OK guys this is happening.

We're going to have a custom kit made for us. Because of this it will be slightly more expensive than the regular R&T kit (3-4k aprox, will get complete prices before group buy).

If we can commit at least 10 orders we can have shaker rig testing. Depending on how many commit, 10, 20, etc. we'll have lower prices.

We will need someone to go to the headquarters to go there for measuring. Then a second trip once the parts are assembled for actual testing. This person will get a break on the kit for their help.

The person going to headquarters to measure should have Vorshlag plates. That way they can make sure the kit works in stock form and with Vorshlag camber plates. OEM strut bar would be nice too to make sure everything fits without issue, studs are long enough, etc.

Once I get prices and commitment, I'll start a separate group buy thread. We'll have to put down a 50% deposit so that everything can be done as one batch.

Please confirm that you are still in, and if you're willing to make the trip for testing. Need at least 10 confirmed so we can go ahead.

Awesome. The regular production kit is 3k, so it's going to be more than that.

I should also add, since this is a custom kit, this is likely your one and only chance of getting this suspension. So if you're on the fence, or might want one in the future, you want to jump in on this.

Confirmed:

1. beta.
2. RobMCoupe.

Nice work on this beta!
....if I were at a different point in my car modding I would have been all over this.

You guys that are on the fence, jump in while you have the chance.

No worries.

Just be aware there will probably not be another run, so if you miss this chance you'll likely not be able to in the future, or you'll have to pay for a run of a single custom kit which will be $$$.

Thanks! Took a lot of persistence, but I'm really happy. Linear springs, monotube shocks, ohlins quality fit and finish, proper testing, great balance of street and track... This is going to be the best coilover on the market by far.

That is my exact thought. Get it while It is available at a good price. I have in a few GBs but just cannot pass this one up.

Thanks Beta for doing this.

Here is my reply from Ohlin.

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your e-mail and your interest in our products.
We have not yet planned to produce R/T shock absorbers for your car model but who knows what will happen in the future.

In the meantime there is a possibility to assemble a R/T suspension kit for your car from our parts. We call this our R/T kit-system and several of our distributors have got special training from us how to handle these products, so I can forward your request to our distributor in your country if you can tell me where you are living?

I'm still debating about this. I was hoping they'd make an official Z4M kit so I could buy it some time in the future.

Beta, when do you need commitments by? Also, when will you have a better idea on the final price?

It's not that simple for me. I have to figure the shipping cost to out here plus something like 15-17% import tax because it's coming from out of the EU. If it was in series production i could save up and get it eventually, even better if it was also available from within Europe (Sweden, where they're based) but right now i just can't do it especially since i can get something like the KW V3's for much much less. It wouldn't be as good obviously but honestly would i even be able to tell the difference for the use i would be putting it through?

Doing a little reading.....
I love how they have separate spring preload and ride height adjustment.

I had JIC COs on my G35 that were designed like that.
They where fantastic to work with & tune the setup.

....DAMN, I maybe getting sucked into the vortex on this one.
Anyone want to buy a set of Clubsports

I'll share pricing as soon as I get it, but in the 3 to 4 range. The first step is to get 10 committed. Then we can get specific prices for 10, 20, 30, orders.

As for commitment, I'll get a group buy thread going separately once we have official prices. For now though I need to make sure that now that money is on the line, that we have enough interest to go ahead.

I completely understand. I'm actually upgrading from V3s, so mine will be for sale on here after this happens. Just wanted to let you know so you don't regret picking these up, as these are miles better than any other coilover for the Z4M.

Also, I'll probably do a group buy for Vorshlag camber plates as well, so people can get full setups for a good price. If there's a vendor interested please PM me. Otherwise I'll start talking with Vorshlag and see where it takes me.

zubydafa,

Are you will be doing the test fitting for us? We are about half way to 10.

Good idea. Maybe also add RSM to round out the full setup.

Already added him in. As long as the price is within reason he's going to be doing the testing for us

I already have RSMs, but good point. Ohlins really recommended the top mounts, which is why RSMs and camber plates are a great idea. Not sure if enough people need them to make another group buy, maybe someone else can run that one so I'm not running 3 haha.
