hey, so some of you know that I loaned my car to them to do the testing and measurements for proper vents placement. When he put them for mass production, some bad stuff happened due to heavy rain 2 months ago.
He said that now its ready to ship if anyone is interested.
here is a picture of my car and a brief explanation of how that works. Btw, the middle vents are sitting right behind the radiator so air is expelled as quick as possible.



• There are 2 main causes of underhood pressures. 1. Air entering the radiator and being trapped under the hood. 2. Aerodynamic underhood pressures generated by the differential of air speed between the top surface of the hood and the bottom.
• Just Thinking of it like an airplane wing. Air going across the top of the hoods surface with the car goin 100MPH is going faster than the air below the bottom of the hood. When you have high speed air on top of the hood (low pressure) and lower speed air on the bottom of the hood (high pressure), the net affect is lift upwards.
• When you install hood vents, you are relieving that underhood pressure by not allowing the high pressure below to push up against the bottom of the hood. The pressure differential caused by the speed causes the air to be sucked out of the engine bay.
• The vents are designed to even further promote suction and vacuum with the louver blade design and protruding into the air flow. They cause an upward air motion that creates pockets of vacuum after each blade pulling the air out.
• We have instrumentation ( the photo I showed you) that measures the pressure differential at different points of the hood. We then design and place the vents in the area of most differential, after the radiator to pull the hot air out.
• So overall, the vents do 2 things: 1. Reduce underhood pressure which actually increases net downforce. 2. The evacuation of air causes a cooling effect that reduces the pressure after the radiator, thus pulling the air thru the rad more efficiently.
• To put it visually....picture an airplane wing. The wind going over the top of the wing is high speed due to the wing design. The air on the bottom of the wing is slower. The net effect is lift or upward pressure. Cut a hole in the wing right in the middle. Do you think it would fly? We are doing the same thing with the hood louvers but designing in aero, vacuum and aesthetics to produce the same effects.

Fast forward to 1:48 to see the event.

As you can see, there is so much pressure under the hood at high speeds, the upper skin of the hood completely delaminates from the bottom hood structure. Properly designed and placed hood vents reduces this effect.

It's pretty easy to make a removable catch trays with drain line on vents like this.
That way you have drains for day to day, then remove them for track.

Sorry not sure I understood your question haha. Just know that these vents are freaking strong. Doesn't move at all even trying to move with your hands.

The vents increase the surface roughness of the car and cause drag. It's probably negligible though. And I expect the other benefits outweigh that quite a bit.

Looks good from a functional perspective. I am concerned with how much of the hood under structure is cut away. Any idea why the outboard vents are so long? I don't see any benefit of having them longer than the center section. Shorter outboard vents would require much less structure to be cut out.

Also, when will they be available?

I'm not sure why they made that long. If you see his instagram, all the vents for other cars are long too.
