It's black though, so much less forgiving than most any other color.
Wash Clay detail spray do single panels at a time with wax, don't let it dry too hard.

Personally, I believe this is why there are detailing shops....pay someone to do it so you can spend your free time driving the thing!

OK...so after about an hour of sweating my ass off...I'm done.
At first it came out pretty streaky...I think I let it dry too long before wiping it off...I was trying to follow the instructions...but I think I let it dry too long... Anyway...some quick detailer took care of the streaks in no time and I think it actually looks pretty good. I noticed some minor spots that I missed with the paint cleaner while I was wiping off the wax...but I'll get to it later I guess. As far as the nooks and crannies went...I was surprised that the foam applicator got just about all of them without any issues, so I didn't really nead the toothbrush after all. Thanks again for all the tips.

Wash, dry, clay, polish & wax, seal. That combo will give you 6 months of protection. |

So the wax only part itself took an hour. Me fixing the wax streaks and smodges and other...took about another half hour. I'm still not completely happy with it...the quick detailer didn't get out as much as I'd hoped...so I'll hit it with another coat tomorrow. The wax tells you to wax the whole car and wait for a haze to come on and then wipe off. I found with a little practice this evening that it looks a whole lot better if I give it only a minute or two to dry and then wipe off. Live and learn...tomorrow I'll be sure to take some pics with the final product. I doubt they'll be very impressive with the resolution barrier on the forum...but oh well. P.S. If you want to come on down to SC and help me...please do. I'd love to hang out in canada where it's not overwhelmingly hot and humid out.

Doesn't that mean that you should be coming up here? If you drive here, I'll help you clay, polish, wax, and seal your car.

I really gotta know how old ducks and z4 are...cuz they seem to be 2 of the oldest yet they act like 2 of the youngest. Must be some sort of old man midlife crisis thing.
Anyway...I'd love to drive up there...but I can handle it on my own.

Yeah, but you are the one getting your ass handed back to you on a platter. Must be a young pup thing, huh?

I don't mind telling how old I am.
I'm old enough to know better and still too young to resist. Your right, 20DUCKS is much older than I, and he is almost as old as Phil. My dad told me once, You are only as old as you feel and that it tends to very from day to day. He also told me to repect your elders, and if you want answers to questions, talk the time to listen.
