Stock exhaust pipe size, 3.0i?

Can anyone tell me what the stock exhaust pipe size is on a 2003 3.0i? I've seen the 3.0si is 1.88 OD", just wondering if it was the same for the older setup? I want to go 2-1 after the cats and I'm trying to find out what size Y pipe I need. Thanks.

Chad

2 1/2" tube should be fine assuming you don't have any serious engine mods. You can check out the Magnaflow website and look at the diameter they use on their catback systems. One that comes to mind is the BMW 128 which runs the N52 motor and an oe two into one configuration (NA) using 2 1/2" and the higher horsepower 135 (turbo) runs a 3" size.

I planned on doing 2 1/2" from the Y back, but need to know what size the Y pipe inlets should be. It just makes it easier for me to gather the parts before I have the work done, saves headaches when the exhaust shop doesn't have the oddball parts I want.

Sorry, misunderstood the question.
