ForgeStar 18" 17-20lbs

Hey just thought i would give you guys the heads up that Forgestar has made 18" version of their wheels for the 350z guys and i think they will make 18" for people who ask now with different cars.
The price i think is around $1300-1400 for a set. But the best part is the weight. With fronts starting at 16.9lbs and the heaviest 10" rim is 20lbs.

Here are the weights that forgestar has calculated.

Quote:
The lower the offset, the more material is needed to make the wheel.

Widths and offset ranges:
18x8.5" - +26 to +48
18x9" - +20 to +42
18x9.5" - +26 to +48
18x10" - +16 to +42
18x11" - +23 to +55
18x12" - +42 to +68

Weight Ranges:
18x8.5" - 16.9 to 18.92 lbs.
18x9" - 18.7 to 20.9 lbs.
18x9.5" - 19.1 to 21.3 lbs.
18x10" - 18.6 to 20.9 lbs.
18x11" - 19.5 to 22.3 lbs.
18x12" - 20.0 to 23.0 lbs.
Example of their wheels 19" version

Im sure some will pick up a set, for the weight, cost and looks they are really good.

Those weights are impressive, I would have considered these, but just picked up a set of ZCP wheels.

These wheels are made by flow forming vs forged huh? (I guess forgestar has to change their name.) I've never heard of flow forming for wheels until now, but apparently BBS has been using this method for several years for Formula 1 and Indy cars.

Its supposed to be cheaper than forged rims, just as strong and much lighter than cast wheels.

I found this link and read about it..

Yep it looks amazing.

I think the 18s are supposed to be delivered sometime in the last quarter of this year.

Wow, good looking too... I was thinking RPF1s, RE30s, or some Prodrives, but these look like a better option. Cheaper, lighter, and at least as good looking. Furthermore, it would have been a long wait on the Volks or Prodrives in Z4MC fitment.

I have the 19 inch fitment

I love the wheels factory look with BMW caps. Most people think they came with the car, fits the lines of the Z4M
When the car is moving they look very nice the back has a very deep concavity on the 10 inch. The 19 is 23lb 19X10 25lb not bad

My car is the black z4m on the Forgestar web site under http://www.forgestar.com/gallery/mai...emId=31:cool!:
