Hardtop/Coupe mods to your roadster stand out really nice with the new paint job. Nice work with the rear bumper too! Any plans of modding the front? Hood, bumper, sides too. Good job

Yes, pre-facelift tail lights came on pre-facelift cars He has the 2.2 which was one of the M54 engines used in Europe on the 2003-05 roadster.

Jan: The hardtop looks very nice, but I'm wondering why didn't you get an OEM hardtop instead of fabricating a custom one? Did you want those 2 extra rear windows really badly?

Yup I know! I first thought that this was a 2006 to 2008 E86 coupe - I didn't realize it was a very custom hard top. So that's why I thought the car had been retrofitted with the 2003 - 2005 issue tail lights.

Very cool hard top though. Is that a kit that you bought somewhere? Please share the details.

He tricked us all! BTW, I stumbled onto his other thread which has more information on the hardtop. Looks like the top came off a wrecked E86. Pretty nice handy work to get this to fit.

I guess all the E86 owners out there should be careful of E85 owners lurking in the background, with can openers at the ready!!

Thanks, for the compliments, The RangeR is my own development, inspired by the France Dieselis. Detail engineering bij the late Martin Hollmann of aircraft Designs Monterey California. It`s fitted with a 1.7 Turbo Diesel engine originated from the automotive industry and adapted for aviation use. In fact Martin and me designed the airplane around the engine. It took 10 years to get the airworthy certificate from the Dutch FAA! In the meantime we made all tooling moulds and jigs for series production.
Cruise speed is 110 Kts, consuming 10 liters of cheap (compared to AvGas) diesel fuel.

So in other words, your car is faster than your plane?
