I actually like the new design, but if they've seriously erased all of the previous forum posts - the entire history - I'd say they'll be getting a fierce virtual beat-down from the other members.

Went and looked, can't login (got to renew my membership).

Yes, it doesn't look like they converted history. If that's true, they don't understand the target market very well, and conversion was probably "out of scope". Good luck with that. What makes sites like this one useful is the discussion and DIY history and searchable nature of threads/posts, as well as the history contributing to a sense of community. If this site updated the look and trashed history there's no way in hell I'd be back here. I'd be furious!

Hopefully it's an oversight not some boneheaded management decision: ""We're going to expand our web capabilities and enhance user experience. We're losing relevence--and this will help us retain members and attract new ones. We have an aggressive date for rollout, and as such we will not include history in scope, and we'll meet our target deliverable date."

Maybe they're trying to do something about the history since people weren't happy?

First, I'd suggest clearing your cache - maybe you're pulling up an old copy.

Second, everytime I go I get an error message page, but it let's me proceed anyway.

Third, they should put the new password scheme at the top of the page, rather than the bottom (they wiped everyone's passwords, the default is the first 3 letters of your name followed by your membership number like Broxxxxxx).

You know, sometimes I get the feeling they'd just like us to shut up and drink the kool-aid. Luv the car, but am continuely amazed how they manage to get it built.

BMW CCA has no direct connection with BMW the manufacturer.
