I can't wait to see this as I have the OEM unit as well and this is a big reason I am hesitant to go with the Intravee. Seems like it would be a pain in the rear to remove the OEM unit. I suppose you could look at the installation instructions: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=297113 and do it in reverse?

You rock, I hunted for that all day yesterday.

That should suffice....I hope.

What specifically do you want removed? The Aux connector under the dash or the other end which connects to the Head Unit?

Or something else???

Both ends (above) are freaking easy to pull. The hardest part is getting the vent out..

Not the Aux under the dash but the BMW Ipod Adapter that has the white cord coming out of the glovebox. I am trying to remove the other end that connects to the head and what wires I need to rewire per reversing the install instructions seen above.

Oh and the vent is super easy if you pull out the panel with the aux hole in it and reach up behind the right side of the vents and push them out from behind while pushing the tab down. I can pop the vents out in 60 sec now ...makes me feel like a car thief.

I never thought to push it out. I have had my vent out 15 times in the last two days. The right side is a pain. Very tight.

My AUX input is not routed to the glove box. That must be a NAV thing...

Back on topic.

Let us know how the reversal went. Do you have to unhook the battery? If so do you need a code to restart the radio?

It is totally separate from the Aux Input. It is a dealer installed accessory with an ipod cord coming out of the glovebox. Not related to navi at all.

Look at the aforementioned install instructions.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=297113

This is the unit i am speaking of.

Sorry for any confusion on my part.
