Gap in front anti roll bar bushing

So last year I replaced my struts, LCA, and front ARB bushing. I was swapping over to new wheels today and notice that there is a gap about 1/8" between the bushing rubber and the ARB. Is this normal? Should I replace with poly bushings? Why did the bushing fail in only a year?

Did you put on the correct ARB?
Your sig does not say which model Z4 you have.

I have a 2007 3.0i roadster w N52.

The ARB is stock, I just replaced the bushings with some from the BMW dealer.

Sorry I should have said ARB bushing
They may have sold you a bushing for an M or for a car with M suspension. 1mm difference in bar diameter

My car does have the sport package-

It looks like I need the 25mm bushing per real OEM. Am I correct in thinking there should be zero gap between the ARB and the ARB bushing? I will probably upgrade to the polyurethane to prevent further wear.

Any time I have replaced ARB bushings there has been a gap at the split once wrapped around the bar. It tightens up as you torque the bracket down. So no there should not be a gap between the bar and the bushing.
The poly bushings will have a packet of lube supplied.
I always throw some white grease on mine to grease them up.
I think even if you went with the 24mm bush you would not have an issue and you would definitely not have a gap.
I can't believe a new bushing has worn out in one year.
