how it works?
When you get in the car with the key remote in your pocket you can press the start/shut off button and the car will turn on the ignition and start after you press clutch. when you want to stop the car just press the same button again and the engine will shut off and after 30 sec the windows will roll-up. that is it, look your car with the remote and the car will active the alarm if you have one.
also I found how to use the e90 button. |

What you are suggesting makes no sense to me, which is weird since it was my suggestion. You say you don't need the key to start the car but that's impossible, you HAVE to have the key in the ignition and communicating in order to get release for the car to be started. I don't know what test you preformed that shows you don't need the key, but keep in mind the starter turning over does NOT mean you can start the car, you can get the starter to turn over but the car is not going to ACTUALLY start without the key in.

What I was suggesting would use some sort of remote transmitter device, I don't see that anywhere in your diagram.

I said you just gave me the idea, so I completed, my idea was to use the RIFID of my keys to complete the process.
when you get in the car the remote will sen a 315mhz RF signal to the car and the car will repeat the signal and if they match, the car will unable the ECU to receive input from ignition. so when you press the button, the car will start and if you press again it will turn off. my diagram only explains how it does. the momentary signal of the button will trigger the first 2 relays that will power ignition after that the constant current for relay 3 will be closed and the car will send a one pulse for about 1sec. to the starter to start engine. ignition power will be on until the sequence is triggered again, so if you press the button again the 4th relay will cut the power of relay 2 what causes the ignition to go off turning the car off, when relay 2 is off relay PCB will change status and send a continue signal to the roll up module what will close the windows if they are open. I'm also working on get the signal from the key to unlock the door if you touch the door. |

If that is true then it is more then possible to do a real push button start, in fact it will be relatively easy. Can you detail your diagram a little better, I don't understand why it is so complicated then. How are you handling ignition 2 activating/deactivating? I assume you are laving the blade only in the ignition on ignition 2, but then ignition 2 would remain on forever. Can you also label the button contacts? I don't understand why there are 6.

It is complicated to bypass ignition 2, so if you press the button again will not damage your starter, will only kill the ignition 2 just like if you had turned your key. took me 24h of dedicated work to bypass that crap. now you only will take your key off if you want to use it as a kill switch. Also after completed this diagram I was able to create an open circuit to do the same to the open closing doors+cheap alarm system that will be better then one very expensive + a roll up windows system automatically. I'm working on this ones right now, so after I'm done with it I will post a complete diagram setup plus a video step by step of how to build it. The only thing that I may not be able to do very soon will be install on the car because require lot of time, but in my video I will prove how the system works and show you guys how to test it before you put in your car so no one will end up with a big bill trying to fix damages of wrong setup. the system after complete will be plug and play, no cutting wires required. and also I will include an extra diagram of a 4 combination code kill switch for extra security. all DIY and step by step. The system will include push to start and push to turn off engine with one button only + keyless open/close door + auto roll up windons after ignition is turned off + 4 combination kill switch code. also wire diagram for BMW's plug and play no wire cut. and how to install an aftermarket alarm on this system. Please keep posting your questions because that unable me to make it better. |

okay I need an input.
does anyone knows how to amplify, duplicate or receive and transmit signals from a rf design?? I discovered that not all z4 have a antenna for the coil that recognize the keys and that would require to move the receiver of rf signals from the steering wheels to the seat, to not need to put the key on ignition(remote only) but I want to have a receiver/transmitter on the seat so I don't have to move that. anyone? |

http://files.thehoffmangroup.com/ins...letButtons.pdf above are the links that you guys can use to check how this works. I'm thinking if is reliable do to it because of the costs and time to do it, and because I found this one http://www.digitalguarddog.com/mm5/m...ry_Code=a20000 Last edited by Diokaef; 07-09-2010 at 11:46 AM.. |

this kind of reminds me of an ultrastart 2250 i installed on my last car...put the valet key in a transponder bypass unit that pulsed during the start sequence to make sure the RFID signal was present for the ignition. Seems you could install pretty much the same type starter system for this application only it would operate with a start button instead of the handheld transmitter.
watching with interest...

Anyone with access to a good place to buy electronic components? here I just found crap and I don't want to use crap stuff in my car,
Another thing the ignition switch I priced at 97$ at BMW and the other end cost 10$ if you guys don't want to cut any cables. the billet button will cost 100$ for the 22mm with shipping, |
