New soft rubber steering wheel covers
I'm thinking I may or may not have to bite the bullet one day and purchase the M steering wheel rubber spoke covers.
However, I know the durability is next to nothing, and I already put some nicks into my existing one in just a year. I was thinking of purchasing new ones, and then doing a few coats of a matte clear coat: http://www.krylon.com/products/matte_finish/ The idea would be to give it that extra layer of protection. I really don't want to spend $160 every year on steering wheel covers. |

I don't understand how these are wearing out for some people.
Mine are still like new.

Has anyone attempted vinyl wrapping these pieces?
(inexpensive to do/ replace, different finishes available) I agree they mar too easily. My gloves peeled the finish on the first set, presumably from a seam across the palm wearing on the soft coating of the plastic. |
