Toyo Proxes
Anyone have experience with toyo proxes on their M? Have them on the m5 and I love how they handle. Interested in possibly picking up a set

I've run the Toyo T1R on the street and really liked them for a street tire. They had great dry traction, and even more impressive wet traction.

There many variances of Toyo Proxes... Are you talking about Toyo Proxes 4? Toyo Proxes T1R? R1R?

When I bought the car I had New T1Rs on them.
I haven't been able to really test the tires yet, as I just received the car a couple weeks ago and the weather is just getting nice...I'll have to see how they hold up in autocrossing |

t1r-soft sidewall=good street tire, crap when it is pushed, all around, i kinda hate this tire
r1r- stiffer sidewall with a softer compound, though not r compound stickiness. great dd tire with decent track performance. |

R1R is a good overall tire, pretty noisy on the road though, and decently good on the track. I run them with my squared setup TE37s but I will not buy them again. You can get your hands on Hankook RS3s, which are directly comparable (140 Treadwear) to the R1R's and they're a better overall tires (and cheaper too). If I were you, I'd get my hands on a set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08. It's an excellent overall tire for both street/track and they won't wear out as fast as the R1R does. You won't regret at all.

I have a set of 18" R888s for track use. IMO much beter at the track than the 19" Bridgetone RE11s. The R888s are definitely not for daily street use.
